Thank you friends and colleagues for coming out to The Hip Kitty in support of jazz. A personal thanks goes to Ian Smith, Jr. for carrying and setting up the stage equipment - especially, the great piano miking! Most of all, I am so proud of you for your tanacity in staying in school and getting that college scholarship! Of course, your mom and dad raised you right! I would also like to thank our recording engineer , Chris Taylor for the live sound and recording the evening - think we got another album maestro! Also, a special thanks goes out to film producer - Inaki - for your creative genius! Hurry up and get back from Spain - just make sure you book that Europe tour next summer! Tribute To Women In Jazz - April 19, 2008
Thanks to family and friends for coming out to hear Cheryl Conley perform a "Tribute To Women in Jazz" A special thanks goes out to Inaki for filming the event and a having a deep understanding of this music and true appreciation for the jazz artist-a documentary in the making-thanks for the inspiration, intelligent conversation, and political savvy! Once again, thanks to the talented musicians for making the music happen - Donnell Lambert-bass; James Kousakis-alto sax; and Jim Szilagi-piano! Cheryl Conley's time is long overdue - sing, sang, sung!

Thank you to all of you for coming out to the Hip Kitty! We hope that all of you enjoyed the evening as much as we did playing for you! Toni and Aisha - you mean everything to me! Sister Robbie and niece Cheryl Muchas Gracias! I would like also to personally thank the piano player, Jim Cox for subbing at the last minute and playing with such intensive soul - you knocked us out! I am extremely grateful to our recording engineer and "spiritual advisor" Brother Chris Taylor for climbing that "ladder" and recording the entire night! Fellow musicians: Clarence Robinson, bass; Jimmy Kousakis, alto sax; Steve Alarcon, alto, tenor, flute, guitar, and percussion - play on brothers! And of course, as usual Cheryl Conley turned the place out!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! A special thanks goes out to fmy family, friends, fellow muscicians and colleagues for attending last night's performance at The Hip Kitty. A special thanks goes out to Jim Cox, piano, for coming out at the last minute to play. Stay tuned -we will be playing at The Hip Kitty again very soon. In addition, Cheryl Conley is producing a "Tribute to Women in Jazz" performance in Pasadena on April 19, 2008. We hope that all of you will come and celebrate the night with us!
